I received my BSEE in 1979 and soon found my true calling in embedded systems. Through the years I moved more into Software Engineering and away from small contained projects. Now I am no longer actively working in the industry and finally pursuing Electronics and Software as an avocation: I do it because it is fun, not for the paycheck. Yeah! One of my current interests is robotics and control systems. I wrote AvrX as an exercise on how compact I could make a useful RTOS and to facilitate writing more complex robotics code. I became involved with a local team entering the FIRST competitions. The team is Bellarmine Prep and University of Washington. Fall of 2000, I formed team 492, Titan Robotics at the Bellevue International School. Other interests include Brewing Beer, Mountaineering and studying Tae Kwon Do with my son.
